Homeschool Fencing Classes

We offer beginning, intermediate, and advanced fencing classes for homeschoolers in central Austin. Fencing is a fun and safe sport that develops fitness, agility, coordination, quick thinking, and mental discipline. AFC's homeschool classes train both body and mind, using games and drills to teach fencing basics. Fencers also learn to referee, enhancing self-confidence and good sportsmanship.

All AFC fencers must be members of the US Fencing Association in order to participate in classes and training. Join the USFA online here.

USFA Membership/Insurance requirements
The United States Fencing Association requires anyone fencing in a USFA-accredited and insured fencing club to be a USFA member, for insurance coverage. Homeschool fencers must obtain a non-competitive membership in order to take any AFC classes. You can register online through the USFA website here. Please bring proof of USFA membership to your first day of class. USFA membership is for the fencer, i.e. your child, and must be made in the child's name, not the parent's.

When you join the USFA, your club is Austin Fencers Club and your division is South Texas.
