AFC's Return to Fencing Schedule - Beginning September 2020

Austin Fencers Club is doing a phased reopen after our COVID closure. We are offering in-gym training on a limited basis and a new schedule. Please check back periodically for updates throughout the fall.

AFC's COVID protocols and procedures are here.

Returning Fencers
Returning fencers who have reactivated their memberships can reserve class slots and open fencing slots via the AFC calendar. Class and open fencing sessions size is limited to ensure that we can maintain social distancing in the gym.

Current fencers who are on hold and wish to return to active fencing can contact AFC to restart their membership, which will enable them to reserve class and open fencing times. You can also use this online form to restart your membership directly.

New Fencers (Youth)
AFC is restarting our youth beginner program in September. We will be offering a single youth beginner session on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-5:50 p.m. Prospective fencers can attend AFC's free trial sessions (2 classes per fencer maximum) in , to try the sport and see if fencing is a fit for you. Attendance in this class is limited to 12 fencers. Contact AFC for more info, or book your spot in our trial session directly.

Adult Beginners
AFC has temporarily suspended our Adult Beginner classes, as we work to develop safe scheduling and equipment protocols for our adults. If you are an adult who has fenced before, contact us for info on how to join one of our ongoing programs. New beginners, please check back with us in mid-September 2020 for updates on the restart of our Adult Beginner program.
